Project Overview
The first step is to determine the size and scope of the project by gathering as much preliminary information as possible about what you want to have completed with the budget you have.
Site Visit
Ron or one of his representatives will arrange to visit the site and meet with you to get a full understanding of the project. This visit usually takes an hour or two, and as we gather information from you about the project, you have the opportunity to ask questions and get to know us.
Rough Estimate
We will provide you with a preliminary estimate for informational and budget purposes of what we believe the project will cost. This helps you gauge the project budget, as well as provide a list of references you can contact before making your decision.
Design Phase
After the preliminary budget is approved and the letter of intent to purchase preliminary drawings is signed (if necessary), we can start the design process. Once we have finalized the design phase, we’ll review the project with you and our team of suppliers will work with you to make sure all components are correct in order to stay on schedule and budget. We will also set the construction schedule and other relevant details such as work site conditions and a substantial completion date.
The initial deposit and payment schedule will be finalized at this time. Payment schedules vary depending on the size and scope of your project.
Construction Phase – The Transformation Begins!
RJS Construction will work to minimize your stress as much as possible during the building process. We will communicate often so you will understand disruption to the daily routine of your family or business.
Depending on the size and scope of your project, we will recommend whether or not relocation will be necessary. RJS is extremely experienced at working within the confines of an occupied home. We provide protection as necessary. Generally, all construction areas need to be completely empty prior to the start of the construction.
Project Completion
RJS will set a substantial completion date. This is when you can use the space for its intended purpose.
