Is RJS Construction insured?
We carry $2 million in general liability insurance, in addition to workman’s compensation coverage for every employee and subcontractor. You should ask your contractor to provide proof of insurance. Back to the top.
What does being a Virginia Class A Licensed Contractor mean?
It means that RJS Construction has met all Virginia State Board of Contractors requirements, including passing the necessary testing and meeting the financial requirements for the classification. In addition, we also hold county and city licenses in the areas we work.

Does my job require a permit?
Permit requirements vary by city and county, and also by the type of work being done. Our estimators and their expertise can inform you of any permits that will be needed during their initial consultation with you about the project.
Remember: It is always in the best interest of the client to have the contractor obtain the permits. You will then know, you are dealing with a contractor that is in good standing with the state and county.
How long will my project take to complete?
Each project RJS Construction does is unique. This means that each project will take a different amount of time to substantial complete. During our initial consultation, we can generally give you an idea of how long a project will take if enough information is provided by the owner on what is to be done.
